Horizon-Index®
High-prescriber Scoring System
Horizon analyses correlations between doctor’s profile and their patients. For each doctor and each indication, Horizon calculates a prescriber score labeled Horizon-Index, using doctor’s profiles and number of patients, etc. as variables.
Horizon-Index is a scale which enables to forecast where a doctor stands from Non- to High-prescriber for each indication.

All prescribers proposed by a client are evaluated and an Horizon-Index is calculated for each of them. MRs can electronically access these doctor’s Horizon-Index. As one score is attached to each doctor for each indication, MRs can at one glance foresee what first but also second or even third product have the most chances to be used by a given visited doctor.
Real case scenario for a given indication:
Depending on the Horizon-Index level (eg ≥0, ≥1.25, etc.) we achieve different High-, Medium-, Low-, and (unfortunately) Non-prescribers.
At a very low Horizon-Index (eg ≥0), we can see that the coverage of the High-,
Medium-prescriber is very good with respectively less than 5% and 16% left aside,
however we are also covering quite a lot of Low- (47%) and Non-prescribers (13%).
One of the strength of the Horizon-Index resides in the fact that raising the
level (eg ≥ 1.25), easily eliminates Low- and Non-prescribers (dropping to 28%
and 5% coverage) while maintaining a fairly good coverage of the
High-(86% coverage), and Medium-prescribers (70% coverage).
(the same information is depicted below along an histogram format)

Below is the resulting balance of the same indexes in terms of High-, Medium-, Low-, and Non-prescribers coverage among 100% of each Index targeting threshold.
Update
Further, the number of seen patients per doctor visited by MRs, as well as other
information, are entered into the system.
BRI treats and analyses this additional data to issue a revised
Horizon-Index as well as other relevant data. This process continuously
updates / upgrades the Horizon-Index prescriber scoring system, and deepens
cooperation between MRs actively working in the field and company’s
marketing / sales team.
